The Wildlife Outreach Vet utilises science communication and multimedia production, plus provision of veterinary support, to enhance the communication of wildlife conservation projects and research outcomes - helping scientists, community conservation groups and conservation related organisations to drive increased awareness of conservation issues.

The Wildlife Outreach Vet can help in the following areas:

- Writing and sub-editing of articles, reports and other content to communicate conservation activities and showcase projects.
- Publication design and development (brochures, flyers, reports).
- Photography and videography of field research activities, events and interviews.
- Production of video and multimedia content for use in social media and in media coverage.
- Social media and website management and advice to enhance engagement.
- Media relations and communications management assistance.
- Interpretive signage design and project management.
- Public education and advocacy through public speaking and corporate speaking.
- Veterinary expertise for field research activities and natural disaster responses.
- Networking and knowledge exchange amongst stakeholders in the 'wildlife space'.
